Makati City, April 2021 – Discovery Primea’s Tapenade on the Go expands its menu, offering a wider selection of dishes available for direct takeout and delivery via GrabFood and FoodPanda. New dishes include special paellas, a variety of burgers, rice bowls with Asian-inspired toppings, and desserts to cap off meals.
Signature Paellas
A taste of the Mediterranean would not be complete without trying paella – a traditional Spanish rice dish known for its abundant ingredients, meticulous cooking process, and rich history. Now commonly served in Spain and across the world for all types of meals – from simple lunches and dinners to special occasions, the paella has become a favorite dish to enjoy with fellow food lovers.
Highlighted in the Tapenade on the Go menu are the restaurant’s Signature Paellas, featuring Executive Chef Luis Chikiamco’s renditions of this iconic recipe. Choices include bestsellers such as the Wagyu Beef Paella with black pepper aioli priced at PHP 1,500 nett and the Seafood Paella with shrimp, squid, mussels, clams, and mahi mahi fillet priced at PHP 990 nett. Those looking for other interesting recipes may try Paella de Champiñones – a sumptuous version with assorted roasted mushrooms, parsley, and garlic aioli for PHP 750 nett; or the Paella de la Tierra which showcases the rich flavors of chorizo, roasted chicken, and Spanish paprika, priced at PHP 890 nett. Special care was taken to make sure each paella is prepared with indulgent ingredients and flame-kissed to perfection.
Burger Library
What began as a love story with the Gilarmi Burger led to the creation of more delicious burgers by Chef Luis and his team. Now offered in Tapenade on the Go, the Burger Library features a collection of quarter pound burgers; each with its own flavorful secrets and unique story to tell. For starters, the Good Ol’ Cheeseburger is prepared with fresh tomato, lollo green lettuce, American cheddar and the Gilarmi signature dressing. Offered at PHP 430 nett, it features the classic yet irresistible flavors of a perfect burger. Let’s Do Brunch, priced at PHP 520 nett, may be the perfect cure for food cravings with an inviting combination of smoked bacon and sunny-side up egg in addition to the staple ingredients. The Burger Library also introduces burgers with a twist, such as the Spanish Quarter with Manchego cheese and Barcelona romesco sauce; plus the aromatic and enticing The Persian; with a spiced beef patty, fresh tomato and onion relish, and cucumber-yoghurt dressing.
A special treat for burger enthusiasts: on Burger Mondays, a 35% discount is offered on all Burger Library dishes from 2 to 5 p.m. every Monday (except on holidays), exclusively for direct takeout orders only.
Mighty Bowls of Asia
For those looking for flavors that hit closer to home, the Mighty Bowls feature a collection of ten satisfying and comforting rice bowls with familiar toppings and tastes inspired by Asian cuisines. These dishes will take customers to a delightful journey to well-loved culinary destinations, all while seated in the comfort of their own homes. Specials include our very own Grilled Pork Belly from Manila served with Java rice and homemade achara pickle; Busan’s popular Korean Beef Bulgogi with sautéed spinach, bean sprouts, and sunny-side egg on a bed of steamed rice; Bombay’s Lamb Curry Biryani with cilantro, tomatoes, onions, turmeric basmati rice pilaf, and more.
Desserts to Go
Not to be missed is Tapenade’s signature Manchego Cheesecake, a favorite dessert among regular guests. A specialty of the hotel’s Pastry Chef Ann Garcia, the cheesecake’s unique ingredients include Manchego cheese, homemade graham crumbs, mixed berry coulis, and vanilla Chantilly. Customers can now order a whole Manchego Cheesecake at PHP 950 nett, to enjoy at home or to gift to family and friends.
Also included in Tapenade on the Go’s dessert selection are three new pies measuring 6 inches in diameter, good for four to six persons, and priced at PHP 550 nett each. The Manhattan Milk Pie is baked with perfectly sweet milk custard and an oatmeal cookie crust, giving it that irresistible and slightly addictive appeal; the Chocnut Pie lends hints of local flavors with peanut butter cream, chocolate ganache, and Chocnut crumbs on top of an Oreo crust. For an added chewiness and crunch, the Pecan Pie contains roasted American pecans dashed with sherry and maple syrup. All desserts are created beautifully and meant to be served as a sweet ending to meals.
