Makati City, October 2022 – An exciting gastronomic experience is set to take place in Flame Restaurant this month. Guest Chef Manuel Martinez, culinary researcher and advocate of traditional Colombian cuisine will present his take on time-honored Colombian recipes and well-loved dishes through a specially curated multicourse menu, available in the restaurant for dinner from 18 to 19 October 2022.
FLAVORS OF COLOMBIA
The meal starts off with enticing “Pasabocas” – a selection of Chef Manuel’s signature snacks: “Carnaval de Arepas”, “Croquetas de Arroz Apastelado”, and “Empanaditas Cachacas”.
The menu highlights a selection of Colombian dishes prepared by Chef Manuel together with Flame’s culinary team. Must-try specialties include “Encocado de Pescado” with perfectly cooked Chilean Sea Bass, Red Snapper, Shellfish, “Arroz con Titoté” and Pacific Coconut Bisque; and a flavorful “Costillas al Carbón”, featuring Charcoal-Grilled U.S. Beef Short Ribs, “Papitas Saladas”, Roasted Cauliflower, Cilantro Creamed Corn, and Hogao Sauce. An exquisite selection of South American wines is curated to complement the vibrant flair and flavors, further elevating the gastronomic experience.
For dessert, guests are treated to delightful sweet endings including “Merengón de Guanábana”, Colombia’s Guyabano Pavlova; “Café con Leche” with Colombian Coffee Semifreddo and “Buñuelitos de Arequipe”; plus “Dulces Tropicales” with Cocadas de Piña, Tamarind Mousse, and Enyucado Bites as a sweet finale to be enjoyed with 100% Colombian Coffee.
