About Chef Alex Nessim
Chef Alex Nessim is a trailblazer in modern Colombian cuisine, celebrated for his dedication to sustainable fishing and elevating the flavors of Colombia’s Pacific coast. He gained acclaim as the founder of Pica Restaurant and the award-winning Selfish Bar, where he captivated diners with innovative seafood dishes for seven years.
In 2015, Chef Nessim launched Pescando Pacífico, a campaign in collaboration with the Responsible Fishing Network, supporting Colombian fishing communities through responsible, sustainable practices.
Most recently, he introduced Kibdo Barra Izakaya, a Colombian-Japanese fusion concept that highlights ingredients from the Colombian Pacific, continuing his commitment to sustainability and culinary innovation.
